The Danish Society for Marxist Studies is excited to announce our sixth annual conference:

CAPITAL, CLIMATE, CRISIS

Aalborg University, Denmark
October 1-2, 2021

Keynote speaker: Andreas Malm

As the world comes to terms with the COVID pandemic, contemporary capitalism reveals itself as a cluster of intersecting crises of systemic proportions: health crisis, economic crisis, and the relentlessly unfolding crisis of the relationship between humans and nature. The Danish Society for Marxists Studies wishes to interrogate and address the unfolding double crises of capital and the ecological relationship between humans and nature, their history, and the types of conflicts and struggles they produce. We therefore invite scholars, students, and everybody else with an interest in critical scholarship to join us at our annual conference at Aalborg University.

Abstracts and presentations may be in Danish or English.

The conference is organised in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Learning at Aalborg University and the Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy at Copenhagen Business School. It has been generously supported with funding from Græsrodsfonden.

Conference dinner - SOLD OUT!

There will be a conference on Friday (1 October) at The South Indian, consisting of a vegetarian/vegan buffet. The price is student friendly at DKK 150 (drinks not included).

Please not that since there is limited room available at the restaurant, participation in the conference dinner is only possible with pre-registration and payment!
